The Diversity and Inclusion committee pursues novel efforts to recruit, retain, support, and educate diverse staff faculty and staff at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Representation matters, and the medical professionals in our health care facilities would ideally reflect the rich multicultural patient community we serve. Patients deserve to feel understood and supported no matter their background, and the Diversity and Inclusion committee will pursue educational programs that raise awareness of how race, religion, sexual preference, and gender identification intersects with specific health care needs and models.
